Become a Moderator
Any Homdorian can offer to become a moderator of one particular area of Homdor. The only requirement is that they are at least a Discoverer (overall level 1 on all virtues). See the full list of titles here.The reward, besides the obvious one, which is to help Homdor flourish, is that each moderator automatically receives 100 (1.00) Energy and 100 (1.00) Spirit points, plus additional points for other virtues!
Which exactly & how many is dependant on the area they are moderating, and the exact rewards can be seen from the list at the bottom.
The moderator usually just needs to read the new addition, and decide whether it should be approved, disapproved, or in the rare case that someone submits something completely inappropriate, their points would be deducted. Homdor is setup this way in order to ensure that jokers don't spread their "humor" across town. If an entry is declined, the moderator can choose from a predefined number of reasons for disapproval or they can write their oen explanation.
Here is a list of areas in Homdor which function with help of moderators:
Magic Moods, "Music for different moods" 100 Beauty pts. Each song submitted as an addition for a certain mood is first sent to the moderator for approval before it gets added to the list.
Library atrium, "Best book ever read" 100 Int. + 100 Beauty pts.
All book submissions (title/author are the only entries) are sent to the moderator for approval before they get added to the list.
Library 1st floor, "Book & Poetry archives" 100 Int. + 100 Beauty pts.
Books and poems are submitted to the moderator first (Entries include title, author and short explanation).
Problem Solvers, "New problems" 100 Int. + 100 Beauty pts.
Problem Solvers, "New solutions" 200 Int. + 200 Beauty pts. Each new problem that is posted is first sent to the moderator, same as any offered solution.
Chamber of Careers, "Job descriptions" 200 Int. + 200 Beauty pts.
Since adding a new job pays very well in points, the moderator of this section has to be particularly careful about the new additions.

Cinema Latte, "New movie recommendations" 100 Beauty pts. Movies are added automatically, but the moderator gets notified as soon as a new movie is added, just in case there is an inappropriate suggestion.
MagDiv, "Wishing Well" 100 Magic + 50 Beauty pts. All "superstitions" (hopefully with a short explanation of the history behind them) are first sent to the admin for approval.
MagDiv, "Fortune Cookie" 100 Magic + 50 Beauty pts. All fortune cookie submissions are first sent to the admin for approval.
Joke's Port, "New jokes" 100 Int. + 50 Beauty pts.
The moderator of Joke's Port is the first one who gets to read the new jokes and decide if they are appropriate (in the spirit of Homdor) and submitted to the correct category. The moderator has to have a good understanding of what the Spirit of Homdor is..
Restaurant, "New recipes" 100 Int. + 100 Magic pts. New recipes from the menu are first sent to the moderator in order to make sure that the entries are complete and that nothing gets added that doesn't belong there.
Magic Cave, "Thinker's Cave" 100 Int. + 100 Magic pts.
All thought-provoking questions ae first sent to the moderator, again only to ensure that nothing that doesn't belong there gets added.
